There are a lot of weight loss blogs out there. There are also a lot of blogging platforms out there. To make it fair, I thought I’d give you some of the best weight loss blogs on the blogger or blogspot platform. If you’re looking for a little inspiration to jump start your New Year’s Resolution, or if you’re feeling a little guilty about pigging out over Thanksgiving, read some of these inspiring blogs to catch the healthy weight loss vibe. Shrunk is a Canadian woman who has chronicled her weight loss from 281 pounds all the way down to 137 pounds. She used Weight Watchers, and a lot of self-discipline to get it done, and she did it in record time. She started her blog in 2006 after she’d had three kids in four years. She had already lost a bunch of weight when she started the blog, but she has faithfully recorded her process, and she recently had breast reduction surgery.

Connie’s blog is fairly new, but she’s doing a great job blogging about her food choices (with pictures) and about her activities. Pretty soon she’ll be posting healthy recipes, and she’s starting to walk in walking/running events. She’s had some knee problems, but she’s got a great attitude and it’s neat to read about what sort of progress she’s making. Keep up the good work!

Ms. Bitch Cakes
Bitch Cakes is a blogging phenomenon. Not only does she faithfully maintain this weight loss and fitness blog, she also keeps up a personal blog and a commuting blog. She lost 50 pounds in one year, and recently reached her goal weight, something her readers celebrated with her. She writes from a very personal point of view, but always gives as much information as she can about any given topic. She’s great, and we hope she never stops blogging! Better, yet, somebody give her her own TV show!
265 and Falling
This is Steve. He used to weigh 265 pounds. He started his blog in October of 2009 and he’s been blogging about his trials and tribulations since then. He thought about taking a break from blogging, but lucky for us (his readers) he didn’t stay away too long. His posts have a fair dose of humorous self-depreciation, but Steve has some great tips on moderation, and his early posts have some great recipes.

Loser for Life
Marisa is more than just a weight-loss blogger. She’s a healthy lifestyle blogger. Meaning, she’s somebody that lost a lot of weight and now maintains a healthy lifestyle. So, if you do what she does, you will be healthier too. She started out in 2008 as Trim the Fat on Blogger, but changed the format and focus of her blog after losing a whopping 67 pounds. She has lots of healthy recipes on her site, and she’s a pretty darn good writer.
